The Arch Studio fill this Pune home with bold hues and intricate patterns

Boho Oasis, designed by Pune-based The Arch Studio, constructs a memorable narrative by layering patterns, mixing colours, and combining furniture styles. The eclectic 4.5BHK Pune apartment marries bright pops of colour and carefully selected art pieces in monotone and muted tones. “The juxtaposition of vibrant splashes and subdued accents creates a visual symphony that is both invigorating and soothing to the senses,” opines architect Siddhina Sakla of The Arch Studio.

The living room houses a lively rust sofa adorned with vibrant patterned throw pillows. While the walls are enlivened with abstract art pieces in greyscale, delicate ceramics in muted tones find their place on vintage wooden shelves. Both decor strategies contrast beautifully with the energetic bursts of colour around them. The definite highlight, however, is an extraordinary wall feature — a massive tinted brown mirror which reflects the lush surroundings, effortlessly bringing the outside greens into the living room, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The tranquil dining area has subdued monotones setting the tone for an elegant and harmonious space. The dining area embraces a minimalist approach, creating a canvas for a custom-made wall art piece that adds a vibrant touch, perfectly resonating with the effervescent vibe of the adjacent living area.

“The bedrooms take a more minimalistic approach, with clean lines and simple furnishings serving as a canvas for carefully curated art pieces, infusing them with a sense of refined bohemian elegance,” says the architect. The first bedroom is drenched in soft pastel hues and gentle neutrals. The bed becomes a cosy retreat, dressed in layers of textured fabrics and adorned with plush pillows. A console and reading nook creates a peaceful corner, apt for losing yourself in the pages of your favourite book.

The second bedroom showcases a vibrant burst of energy, where earthy greys are smartly teamed with pops of vibrant yellow. A massive bookshelf stretching across one wall, offers a captivating display of literature and treasured belongings. A lounger takes centrestage, inviting you to unwind.

The third bedroom embraces you with neutral tones, creating a serene atmosphere that soothes the senses. The bed-back becomes a statement piece, draped in vivid textiles and adorned with eclectic cushions. A bench offers a cosy spot for contemplation, while a side table beckons you to sip on evening tea and immerse yourself in relaxation.

The fourth bedroom features a sofa cum bed with checkered patterns and olive green accents. This bedroom becomes a haven for bibliophiles, with its carefully curated collection of tomes. The neutral colour palette allows the vibrant covers and spines of the books to bring a delightful burst of colour and personality to the room.
