White Luxury Studio’s latest project is a 3BHK 1,250-square-foot apartment set in Thane, Maharashtra. The client desired a minimal and unique design for this house and emphasised on a Nordic theme. The designers planned a home which reflects simplicity, oozes a calm breath of fresh air and radiates harmony in its functionality. This modern minimalist apartment also sees a material palette which requires little or low maintenance. Multiple design layers and defining the spaces appropriately with a splash of industrial and chic fabric changes the narrative for each corner of this modern apartment.

“Dwelled in raw textures, the design language of the apartment runs parallel to the spaces in various configurations and surfaces. It is evolved through the execution in rhythm of less is more, layered ideologies, and varied hues of soft goods mollifies the soul of the home,” explains Raj Tatia, principal designer, White Luxury Studio. “The material set primarily carves on less but optimum, durable ones, and is accented through a signature design style. The advocated minimalism is definitely a distinctive practise of our studio that has surely woven the floor plate into a contemporary art,” adds Roshan Tatia, principal designer, White Luxury Studio.

The living room has a Scandinavian theme, with its focal wall featuring bespoke resin art depicting lunar phases. This wall art is placed on concrete finished laminates which are battened by dyed veneer. Further, this mono-tone palette is escalated by bright soft fabrics. The pop blue spiral concentrix armchair offsets well with the neutral palette of the statuatio lappato matte flooring and indoor plants.

Inspired by a clay themed palette the cantilevered dining tailored out of steam bird wood and dense black matte metal base blends beautifully with the flawless bamboo matte panels on the wall. This Mediterranean dining set-up for six also features an opulent fan, cane pendant lamps and a linen-finished mirror panelling. The kitchen which is located closeby features tidy and sharp channelled PU membrane cabinets and subway tiles. The altar created in this residence has an alcove of arched solid surface which sees a lovely convergence of harmony and warmth presented through minimal materials.

The master bedroom showcases a crisply drafted light-shaded wainscoting on the wall, an exclusive chevron patterned engineered wooden flooring, and soft brown toned bedding which generously emulsifies with the white washed ceilings. This natural and subdued bedroom exudes comfort with the pacifying upholstery, wooden furniture and affluent light corner. The modern and minimal laminate on the wardrobes portrays a classic luxe dipped in rose gold nulled handles.

The son’s room is soaked in hazels and cocoa tones. Complementing the neutral contemporary outlook is the blue bed furnishings with symmetric elements and patterns. A rich cocoa velvet low headboard extrudes against a capacious grooved panel wall.  The black back painted glass box ingeniously covers the television unit and the elated wardrobe fashions the clean design aesthetic. The bedroom bathes in radiance through natural light and indoor plants.

A soft graphite palette is juxtaposed with earthen tones and fine artworks set against a grid backdrop of floral wall sheet in the guest bedroom. A regal chest of assorted drawers with solid top and coated in PU finish collages thoroughly with the wardrobe design. The room hugs an assemblage of colour palette swathes with astute use of outlines and fabrics. Accentuated cool hues of upholstery, the space sings of natural functionality and an organic display of musings.
