Designed by MELD Design Studio, this 1,500 sq ft apartment in Mumbai is blessed with beautiful sunset views, ample natural light and a space-efficient and practical floor plan. This 3BHK is doused in an achromatic palette interspersed and uplifted by gentle blushing peaches and calming blue hues.

The entrance door features charming chevron pattern finished in natural oak polish. One steps into a large free-flowing living room with a combined lounging and dining arrangement and a semi-open kitchen. Here, bespoke furniture and accent pieces complements the neutral colour scheme to obtain an efficient flow within the space. The furniture pieces — sofa, chairs, coffee table (with a lacquered marble texture), dining table (with its Italian PU finish) and mandir — are shining examples of a cohesive design. Finishing touches include accent features like the ceramic flowers as wall decor, natural and artificial flowers in vases, and the majestic ceramic stallion on the console behind the main sofa.

The master bedroom, placed opposite the main entrance, has an Aegean blue and white colour scheme which is further enhanced by the natural wooden accents of the furniture. A chevron pattern finds its place on the wardrobe as well as the study table here. Two other bedrooms, belonging to the clients’ son and two daughters respectively, can be accessed through the inset doors in the living area. The boy is a huge Messi fan, and his room finds inspiration in the shades of blue found on the football star’s jersey with a barcode pattern featuring on the headboard and the wardrobe. Peach and blush are the colours used in the daughters’ room for a vibrant yet calming vibe. A bespoke arch with a velvet headboard pattern is the focal point in this space. Also perfect for “The Gram” are the neon angel wings and dainty floral prints on the cabinets.
