This 2,000-sq-ft, 4BHK Vadodara apartment was handed over as a “blank canvas” to Sachi Parish and Meeta Mehta of Sachi’s Interior Concept to be converted into a comfortable, lavish living space. “The client’s brief was very clear,” add the designers, “that the space should look spacious, clutter-free with the use of earthy materials.” With no civil intervention required in the assignment, the duo set out to script a luxurious residential space that would also pay equal attention to the pragmatic side of things.

Materially speaking, the home is ruled by veneer and natural polish for a warm and elegant look. Accent furniture pieces were designed in MDF with PU to give a hint of colour to the otherwise warm scheme. The highlighting features of the house are the use of bold colours used in specific furniture pieces and the terracotta artwork in the living room. “This created a vibrant and fresh look. We love how well the customised terracotta installation complements the bold orange console,” they enthuse, adding that working on this project was smooth with only minor challenges. “This assignment taught us not to lose patience. With great hard work and determination we were able to achieve what we had promised the client and that too within the specified time limit.”
