Project Wave Length is a 5-BHK apartment designed by The Interior Workshop in Surat. The design team was tasked to pay tribute to the “architecture of the interiors” by highlighting its magnificent details. The brief also wanted them to preserve the integrity of living space; and to keep comfort at the heart of all the spaces and furniture designed for the project. The overall concept of the apartment was developed taking into account the principles of combining elements and textures to create a perfect optical harmony. Stone, wood, and metal are connected, smoothly bending, or even look as if they were a single entity. This interiors witness many straight lines that smoothly flow into wave-like shapes. And the absence of sharp corners is additionally emphasised by the rounded shape of the furniture.

The design team picked out art objects that complement the very idea of the space. And the most striking accent, deliberately “disturbing” the calm pastel palette of the living room — the painting Horse Evening by famous Ukrainian artist Anatoly Kryvolap — is placed opposite the main entrance from the hallway to the living room, implying that even perfection needs bright and bold accents.
