Interior designer Sanjyt Syngh’s new design studio at Sultanpur, New Delhi, is conceived as a fashion forward New York loft, and showcases his stygian design sensibility. This space challenges the notion that dark colours shrink a space; and also amplifies the use of fashion colours in interiors.

Leading the focus as you enter is a typographic marble inlay on the floor. Sanjyt chose the word “dream” to interpret the kind of spaces he likes to create. A 12-foot dining table made in Dalmata stone doubles up as a conference space when needed.

The table is accompanied by Tulip Chairs from Knoll. Across the floor you will see multiple interior set-ups that are connected by one single element — his love for colour black. The entire floor is black marble helps transcend one space into the other. Each space is defined with distinct wall panelling from Brutalist angles to organic curves to bold red. A variety of bespoke objects are on display in the manner of an art installation. Sanjyt’s creative studio reflects his design ethic and love for everything quirky!
