Karnavati Builders approached Space Karma Design Studio to design a sample flat for their new residential project, Karnavati Infinity, in Ahmedabad. The client offered a 3BHK flat for design with the brief — it should impress a varied demography of buyers. Interior designer, Shweta Jain, the founder of Space Karma Design Studio, devised a modern European theme for this 1,200 sq ft apartment. “With an idea to launch freshness and keep the space open and breathable, a subdued colour palette of buffs and nudes with detailed textures was chosen. Hence, this project is named Symphony of Nudes,” explains Shweta.

The large windows which floods the open living-dining space with natural light and air instantly puts a visitor at ease. The living area sees fluted detailing on ash veneer panelled walls, off-white rounded sofas, a trio of circular tables, and a warm rug that complement the overall soft theme of this space. The dining area is created against a textured hand-painted wall (with fluted details) which adds an interesting contrast to the nude pink dining chairs, and the white terrazzo top dining table. A large terrace forms an extension of the living-dining space — Shweta has blurred the line between these spaces by introducing a lavish swing in such a way that it can be used as part of both the indoor and outdoor.

The master bedroom sees fluted details on the wall to add depth to the space. Another interesting design element on the wall is a 3D grey concrete framing created between two ash veneered wall panels. Old chairs refurbished in the modern European theme, bohemian crochet cushions, and mud art are other talking points of the bedroom.
