Emery Studio: Robin from Barovier&Toso, and vases from Saint-Louis

Emery Studio has unveiled two new collections lately — Robin, a suspension lamp from Barovier&Toso; and crystal vases from Saint-Louis. Robin, handcrafted by Italy’s famous Barovier&Toso is a modern interpretation of the lantern archetype in a clean and minimal design. Constructed from opaline glass, this suspension lamp is surrounded by metal wings that casts beautiful patterns when lit. Robin is available in two size variants, with a choice of 10 colours (of Venetian crystal), and a polished chrome or sanitised bronze finish for the wings.

From the house of the celebrated crystal brand, Saint-Louis comes a range of exquisite vases. These include the Folia Vase which pays homage to the forest that surrounds Saint-Louis’ manufacturing facility. Blending radiant crystal with the strength of wood, Folia is a contemporary vision of nature, from its leaf-shaped cut, to its clear or satin-finished crystal. Matrice collection has a unique shape, and tributes the warehouse that stores moulds and casts, from which all of Saint-Louis creations originate. Here, each vase adorns hand-cut elements that are the signature style of the brand. Mouth-blown and hand-cut, the Patrimoine Tartan vase combine heritage, modernity and know-how. Tartan is the result of extraordinary technique: a real feat of the 11 artisans needed to create them, first over fire, then with intricate cuts. Each piece in this collection showcases a specific technique. The Patrimoine Guipure vase is a reissue of a vase from 1946 in celebration of Saint-Louis’ exceptional heritage. This prestigious piece illustrates a fascinating juxtaposition of age-old heritage and a radically contemporary aesthetic. The combination of olive cuts, bevels and cords intertwine, creating a complex crystal lace known as rich cuts which is characteristic of Saint-Louis.
