Fabindia encapsulates the aura of celebration by unveiling their Jashn-e-Riwaaz collection. The collection takes inspiration from Iznik (a design and decoration seen in the 16th century) which is created by combining the Ottoman style with influences from Asia and the Balkans. The technique and designs in Iznik includes clean solid bases with curvy branches, palmette, pomegranates, carnations, hyacinths, tulips and lotus motifs with a twist on naturalism along with the literal geometric tessellations of Islamic art.
Jashn-e-Riwaaz includes a variety of furnishings and tableware and accessories — like Yashwa (cushion covers), Varda (serving trays), Lavanya (diyas and diffusers), and Abhikhya (picture frames, utility and tissue boxes). The furnishings employ materials like silk, silk-cotton, slub and cotton, and showcase contemporary hues like turquoise, cobalt, ochre, deep reds and fuchsia which are further accentuated by rich antiqued golds. While the tableware is crafted from porcelain and bone China; the accessories are made from horn, brass and iron.
