Contemporary furniture and decor brand Iqrup + Ritz has unveiled their Winter Edit 2020. This new range is further segregated into three collections — Regency Modern, Elemental and Games People Play. Regency Modern dives deep into the Hollywood Regency’ movement, and features old world glamour, striking silhouettes and luxurious materials. In contrast to the typical Hollywood Regency style, this range has a neutral palette. The star of the show is the Dorothy sofa, a deep seated, grand four seater sofa with a twist of added bolsters. The range also includes consoles and shelves.
The Elemental collection uses components from the works of renowned architects, architectural forms and tools. The designers dived into the rich portfolio of Louis Kahn’s work for inspiration while designing the Orb table and the Louis chair. The Doshi shelf, an ode to one of BV Doshi’s developments in Ahmedabad, is a quirky piece. The Edo collection is influenced by the Japanese design principles of Kanso (simplicity), Shizen (nature) and Yugen (profound and subtle beauty). The gently curved leg detailing of the storage pieces are homage to the majestic arches of Shinto shrines.
Lastly, the Games People Play is an ongoing collection to make our new lifestyles easy and joyful. The Jigsaw coffee table which is a part of the collection is an elegant coffee table shaped like a Jigsaw Puzzle. The Herve coffee table makes an impressive and nostalgic statement. One can choose between 30+ polish options and gold or marble balls to create their bespoke piece.
