Kolkata-based Ochre at Home (OAH) is known for their bespoke furniture showcasing radical and forward-looking designs that are rooted in tradition. The latest addition to their impressive line-up is a collection — comprising three designs — of side and coffee tables featuring geometric patterns. The Layered Coffee Table is a bouquet of three circular tops in different sizes with bold, hand-painted patterns in blue, green and ochre hues, which are propped at different levels. The wooden base has been given an open-pore matte polish.
Full of panache, yet practical, the Black and White Side Table is two-tiered with a square-shaped one on top, and the lower one in a circular shape. The lower level, discreet and hidden away, can be used to stow away stuff you need at hand. Available in two colours — Burgundy and Navy — the peg tables has a round top is finished in a burgundy or navy high-gloss lacquer has a circular inlay done in white mother-of-pearl and malachite. The sculptural base has a palatial Indianness presented with a contemporary twist, and when combined with the hammered brass bottom, creates an elegant fusion of materials.
